GAFFTA: 55 TaylorGAFFTAhours Preview

Immediately following our "Gray Tie" fundraiser gala, GALVANIZE, Gray Area Foundation for the Arts (GAFFTA) invites you to celebrate our Grand Opening with a special evening of art, music and community in the inspiring surroundings of our new digital arts center the night before we open our doors to the public.

GAFFTA’s successful transformation of an abandoned adult theater into a state-of-the-art gallery space, studio facility and multimedia community center marks a milestone in the revitalization of the Tenderloin while providing a much needed production and exhibition center for the Bay Area digital and progressive arts communities.

Including new works from three pioneers in the field of digital art (C.E.B. Reas, Camille Utterback and Stamen Design) our inaugural exhibition, OPEN, celebrates Gray Area’s arrival as San Francisco’s leading digital arts organization and a cornerstone of The City’s emerging Tenderloin Arts District.

GAFFTAhours is a 21+ limited-capacity ticketed event, featuring live music from local DJs (QZEN, Kid Kamaeleon and Special Guests), hosted bar and Limited Edition keepsakes.

All proceeds go directly towards offsetting the costs of our exhibition installation and funding future GAFFTA programs and events.
